LEGAL NOTICE
Notice of Public Hearing Village of Cassadaga The Village of Cassadaga will hold a public hearing on July 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Village Office, 22 Mill Street, Cassadaga, NY 14718 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Cassadaga’s community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2025 program year. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $40,000,000 for Public Infrastructure and Public Facilities projects for the 2025 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The Village of Cassadaga is applying for $2,000,000 in CDBG funds to complete water system improvements including water main replacement, locating and installing a new groundwater well, control upgrades, and water meter replacement. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program, including progress towards beneficiary goals and program objectives, and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The location of hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Annette McChesney, Village Clerk at 716-595-3007, at least three days in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Written comments may also be submitted to Annette McChesney, Village Clerk at PO Box 286, 22 Mill Street, Cassadaga, NY 14718 until July 3, 2025, at 4:00 PM. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Cassadaga on June 19, 2025, in the Community Room, 22 Mill Street, Cassadaga, NY at 7:00 PM to consider the Short-Term Rental Application for 209 Dale Drive. The application is open to inspection at the Village Office, 22 Mill Street, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30AM to 4PM. Any person may appear in person or by agent or attorney. Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Board, or at such hearing. VILLAGE BOARD MEETINGS 2ND AND 4TH WEDNESDAYS AT 7PM All Welcome to Attend Next Regular Meeting June 25, 2025 VILLAGE OFFICE HOURS Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:30AM-4:00PM 716-595-3007 [email protected] Other times can be accommodated by appointment as well if needed Village of Cassadaga Leaf & Brush Pickup Schedule 2025 Do Not place material at curb more than 24 hours in advance Must be put on the curb by 7am day of Weather Permitting (No Rain) May 27 – limbs and branches June 2 – leaves, grass, branches July 7 – leaves, grass, branches August 4 – leaves, grass, branches September 8– grass and branches October 6 – limbs, leaves, grass, branches November weather permitting leaves only No Dirt or Rocks No Food or Rotten Vegetables The material that is picked up by the DPW is used for Compost at local farms not taken to dump/landfill No Plastic Bags, Pots, or Metal 4. VILLAGE LEAF AND BRUSH PICK UP Mondays are designated leaf and brush pick up days for Village residents. Leaves and brush are to be piled separately and loosely near the roadside. Village employees will dispose of items at the Alden Road compost pile. The Superintendent of Public Works has the authority to set the time frame of leaf and brush pick up. Residents of the Village of Cassadaga who hire a contractor to remove a tree or trees, must have the contractor remove all debris. If a Village resident removes or cuts the tree themselves, the amount to be hauled from the curb is not to exceed the existing guideline of approximately 6 inches in diameter. If an excessive amount is piled at the curb, the property owner will be notified by the Public Works Superintendent, and all brush/limbs piled at the curb that exceeded the amount will become the responsibility of the property. |
